About the Mount View Hotel and Spa
The iconic Mount View Hotel & Spa sits centrally on Calistoga’s Lincoln Avenue and has been a beacon for enthusiastic travelers searching out the region’s abundant amenities and mineral-rich waters for over a century. This is a place where the magic happens; where one can escape to relax in the heart of Napa Valley’s wine country just steps from the action and worlds away from the norm.
And it’s easy to break free from the humdrum when welcomed to experience a different kind of stay. From the intricate Art Deco interiors to the on-site spa blissfully offering elevated services to our three eateries providing a mouthwatering brunch to a perfect cup of coffee, let Mount View be your home away from home where your comfort is paramount.
Our mission for a distinctive experience goes beyond the superficial, and your stay makes an impact. Inspired by One Hope Wines and the first of its kind in Calistoga, we’re adopting “cause integration” hospitality in the Napa Valley. Our vision is to create exceptional experiences that inspire people to indulge while doing good. The commitment to quality amenities is as important as our charitable commitments to organizations from environmental causes to children’s needs. We’re thrilled to continue our dedication to immersive moments for guests of the hotel.
Mount View Hotel & Spa was recognized in 1981 on the National Register of Historic Places and with due reason. The hotel’s history spreads further back than the current, landmark Mission Revival-style structure built in 1919 and its grand Art Deco-influenced interiors. The Mount View Hotel & Spa has had a handful of colorful proprietors who have left a lasting impact on the grandeur seen and felt today. Current owners Michael and Stephanie Woods are continuing to welcome adventurers into the Calistoga masterpiece, while elevating stays with new amenities, like the Indie Blue Salon, and outstanding attention to every detail.
Enjoying Calistoga is easy with a stay at Mount View Hotel & Spa. Offering up two on-site restaurants boasting contemporary American eats at Johnny’s Calistoga and French-inspired fare at Veraison, as well as the newly opened Indie Blue Lounge, where guests can enjoy an artisanal coffee experience and wine tasting, there may be no desire to leave the property. But when visitors are looking to explore the wonders of wine country, Mount View Hotel & Spa has built lasting partnerships with local wineries, restaurants, and attractions allowing a well-rounded getaway with superior experiences.
