BarVino Restaurante and Wine Bar at The Mount View is the latest offering from Left Coast Restaurants, owners of Calistoga favorites Brannan's Grill, Flatiron Grill, and Checkers. The menu is the creation of Chef Dominic Orsini, formerly of Meritage Resort in Napa and The Waldorf Astoria in New York and who also holds the Executive Chef position at Brannan's Grill just down the street. While Brannans' menu is New American, BarVino is Italian trattoria all the way with the delicious flavor profiles that have made this gem the latest Calistoga hot-spot. The wine features local, small productions wineries that lack tasting facilities and BarVino functions as their tasting room and retail outlet. The room style is Tribecca meets Napa and guests feel as though they're entering a cozy club enhanced with imaginative lighting, leather seating surfaces, and warm woods. BarVino also offers the only sidewalk seating in the entire Napa valley at the entrance to the Mount View Hotel so guests can sip a glass of wine and dine while watching the Lincoln Avenue scene. BarVino is open for dinner daily beginning at 4:30 pm.
